XYLAN

Xylazine hydrochloride 100mg (potency)/ml Injectable

  • XYLAN belongs to a class of drugs known as α2-adrenergic agonist and a sedative that provides pain relief as well as muscle relaxation
  • The effects can be seen within 10~15 min. after I.M. and 3~5 min. after I.V.
  • The analgesia associated with xylazine only lasts 15~30 min. but sedation can last 1~2 hours
  • Complete recovery can take 2~4 hours

  • Restraint, sedation and muscle relaxation in deer and horse

+ Dosage & Administration

Administer by I.M or I.V.

  • Horse
    Administer 1.0~2.2ml / 100kg (Xylazine1.0~2.2mg / kg) by I.M.
    Administer 0.5ml~1.1ml / 100kg (Xylazine 0.5~1.1mg / kg) by I.V.
  • Deer
    Administer 0.5~4.0ml / 100kg (Xylazine 0.5~4.0mg / kg) by I.M.
    Administer 0.25ml~2.0ml / 100kg (Xylazine 0.25~2.0mg / kg) by I.V.
